From custom residential pieces to major commercial commissions, Jordan’s hand-crafted, straightforward designs respect and celebrate the natural character, color and grain of wood. With each project, he strives to match elegance with utility, while meeting the unique style and use requirements of each client.
A third generation New Yorker and cabinetmaker, Jordan’s influences include classic boat-building as well as traditional and modern American woodworking design and craftsmanship -- from Shaker to Arts and Crafts through mid-century styles. A childhood spent overseas in Japan and London exposed him to Asian and European cabinetmaking traditions. Growing up in his father’s workshop, Jordan developed a passion for fine woodworking at an early age, and still relies on five generations of inherited hand tools to craft every heirloom quality piece. He combines his love for cabinetmaking with his formal engineering training and over 20 years of professional experience in construction project management. His most recent experience includes building and renovating luxury homes and apartments in Manhattan, Fairfield County and the Main Line, outside Philadelphia.
